چکیده

Based on the positron emission tomography (PET) computed (CT) image segmentation algorithm, this article explores application of PET/CT in recurrence and metastasis thyroid cancer after differentiated (DTC). In study, 132 patients with DTC combined 131I treatment underwent whole-body imaging scan (131I-WBS), serum thyroglobulin (Tg) level was measured at same time. Among 54 Tg-positive patients, 49 were positive for 131I-WBS 32 imaging. Of 15 Tg-negative negative. Three suggesting residual tumors all examinations; 7 lymph node examinations, 131I, WBS-negative showed 6 lung metastases 3 bone metastases. scans are similar diagnosis metastasis, but has more advantages than does metastasis. can still find other benign malignant lesions, which is great value restaging DTC. The effect WBS lesions older not good. presence stripe, calcification, patch shadows lungs conducive to Lung strips calcification affect main factors

Clinical determinants of fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography in differentiated thyroid cancer patients with elevated thyroglobulin and negative (131)iodine whole body scans after (131)iodine therapy.

BACKGROUND A cross-sectional prospective study has been conducted on differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) patients using negative (131)Iodine ((131)I) whole body scans and elevated thyroglobulin (Tg) levels. The main objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of the conversion of differentiated to dedifferentiated thyroid cancer patients during follow up at the Hospital Kuala Lum...

Fluor-18-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography in differentiated thyroid cancer.

Owing to the development of high resolution scanners and the new possibility of whole body scanning in recent years positron emission tomography has become more and more important in diagnostic imaging, especially for the diagnosis of malignant tumors and their metastases. Positron emission tomography (PET) is a special nuclear medical imaging technique, which is quantitative (correcting for ra...

Imaging Cellular Proliferation in Prostate Cancer with Positron Emission Tomography

Prostate cancer remains a major public health problem worldwide. Imaging plays an important role in the assessment of disease at all its clinical phases, including staging, restaging after definitive therapy, evaluation of therapy response, and prognostication. Positron emission tomography with a number of biologically targeted radiotracers has been demonstrated to have potential diagnostic and...

Extremity Radioactive Iodine Uptake on Post-therapeutic Whole Body Scan in Patients with Differentiated Thyroid Cancer

Objective(s): We investigated a frequency of lower extremity uptake on the radioactive iodine (RAI) whole body scan (WBS) after RAI treatment in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer, in order to retrospectively examine whether or not the frequency was pathological. Methods: This retrospective study included 170 patients with thyroid cancer, undergoing RAI treatment. Overall, 99r (58%) an...
